I love Aiba MasakiI love Aiba Masaki.
In 2002, Aiba collapsed a lung during rehearsal. He had to undergo emergency surgery just before a concert and his activities in the group were, obviously, put almost entirely on hold.
"Almost", because Aiba refused to stop entirely. Instead, he did everything he could to still be a part of Arashi, even while he was recovering. He felt as though he was dragging the group down with his illness, so he threw himself into the work they allowed him to do. This is why Aiba is on the "All or Nothing" DVD despite his "level up" being cancelled. (He was going to learn sax, but had to stop because his lung wasn't strong enough.) Instead, Aiba is shown smiling, laughing, playing around a train track and talking about what Arashi means to him.
When Aiba became a regular on "Tensai Shimura Dobutsuen", he noticed after watching the shows that he wasn't speaking much. Aiba is naturally shy, but instead of just sitting there, being a quiet face, he went directly to Shimura Ken and asked him for advice on how to be more entertaining for the audience. Shimura (a "King" of television in Japan; think Johnny Carson-big) was so impressed by Aiba's determination to do well that he created the segment of the show where Aiba is sent to zoos around the world to help out for a day, so Aiba could get more screen time. Since then, Shimura has become something of a mentor to Aiba.
Aiba gives 110% of himself to everything he does. Even if it's something completely ridiculous or humiliating, he does it. Even if he's never tried it before, he does it. Even if he's scared or shy, he does it. Even if he screws it up, he smiles and laughs at himself. It's impossible to watch Aiba's sincerity and not fall completely in love with him.

I love Massu because under the eye searingly bright clothes and the ever present smile, he's so very normal, and entirely unashamed about it. I love that he has a "healing" personality, and that his smile makes you want to smile involuntarily. I love that his idea of relaxing is just sitting around at home and I love that he's such a mama's boy. I love that he's stubborn and won't hesitate to say what's on his mind if he's bothered by something. I love that he's awkward and is bad at telling stories or conveying ideas but he tries anyway. I love his seemingly endless knowledge of trivia. I love that he's a thinker, and a lot smarter than people give him credit for. I love how every now and then he'll say something that is so simple but so deep, like how he doesn't have regrets because there's nothing we can do about the past, so spending time worrying about what we can't change won't do any good. I love that he's kind and manages to take care of people in his own way, even if it's just buying them drinks or snacks. I love that he knows his own boundaries, and I love that he can (and does) laugh at himself. I love that he loves scary stories; watching him laugh his way through a haunted house makes me smile since I do the exact same thing. And yet, bugs and most animals make him run screaming like a girl (which I also love.) I love his OCD, even if it does worry me at times. I love that he loves food and fashion more than most girls I know. I love his sense of individuality, and the way he doesn't compromise who he is just to fit in or be more popular.
I love Koichi because he is simultaneously one of the hardest workers and one of the laziest people in the company. I love that he's such a geek that he'll take time out during a concert to talk about stars and the galaxy. I love that he fanboys over "boring" things like F1 and science. I love that he's so uninformed about pop culture but despite being told incorrect information time and time again, he still asks Tsuyoshi to inform him. I love his panicked laugh when something embarrasses him. I love that, even though he portrays himself as a loud idiot in front of the camera, he's actually very shy and quiet. I love how he and Tsuyoshi depend on each other; how one will always pull extra weight if they feel the other lacking, and how they've even said that there are times when they don't have to say something, because the other knows exactly how they feel and will have said it for them. I love how Koichi is selectively cheap and fanboys vacuum cleaners. I love how every time his fans call him "hage" he'll always shoot a "debu" right back at them. I love how he still hasn't given Yoko or Hina any New Years money, but that he still receives it from his senpai. I love how Koichi is as much an "ossan" as he is an "ouji."
I love Ryo because he is a giant weiner. I love that he's terrified of ghosts and that his first reaction to anything that scares or shocks (or embarrasses) him is to huddle up in a ball and hide. I love that he is incredibly shy and quiet until he feels comfortable around you, and then he's incredibly loud. I love how he's such a bad liar, and will say mean things only to immediately recant them or laugh at himself for saying them. I love that he's witty and a quick thinker and yet still manages to put his foot in his mouth on a regular basis. I love that he has a "foot face." I love his long, rambling j-webs about his life or the drunken poems he used to write, and I love his awkwardness. I love that he loves fairy tales. I love how fiercely loyal he is and how he looks after his own. I love that he's an instigator and will push his friends into doing things like kissing each other drunkenly on their birthday. I love that he drunk dials people. I love that he's such a hard worker. I love that he's such a contrary person, and that under all the prickly parts, he's a big teddybear.
And I'll stop there, because this is getting long and if I don't call it quits now, I'll end up writing a ten page manifesto on everyone I love and why. But, um, yes. Love. ♥ - track_04

I'll only focus on my top 3 here, because if I keep going I will seriously never stop. There are too many people I would love on. XD;
I love Yoko because at first glance he comes across as this loud, crass, slightly idiotic guy who seems to like to torture his bandmates and talk about boobs, food and video games, but when the more you get to know him the more you realize what a painfully shy, sweet loser he really is. I love that he is like everyone's big brother--he'll tease the shit out of you (especially if you are in Eito), but other people are not allowed (unless they're the rest of Eito...). I love how loyal he is to his friends and how he looks out and sticks up for them. I love how he knows when to deflect a conversation when things get to a subject that one of his other band members is uncomfortable with. I love how hot he is in drag. I love how much he loves his family and the way he talks about them. I love that his life wasn't easy growing up, but he still talks about it. I love the way he writes lyrics. I love his hands. I love his ears.I love how much thought and planning he puts into things. I love that he was willing to cry so wholeheartedly and do something so potentially unattractive for his role in the quiz show. I love how much his love for MonHan and DBZ. I love that he's trying to win Yamada over with manga. I love that he hasn't really learned to edit himself yet and spills things that an idol shouldn't really be talking about freely on national radio. I love that he acknowledges the fact that he's not the best dancer or singer, but he still tries anyway. I love how uncertain he is about himself, even now. I love that he talks about boobs constantly, but he'd probably pass out if ever presented with a real live pair of them. I love his cackle. I love that he is probably the biggest fanboy other Johnnies(Toma and Pi especially XD) will ever have. I love what an amazing person he is in general, eventhough he probably doesn't think so himself. I love that he's essentially JE's Peter Pan and I hope he never grows up. ♥
I love Ryo because he tries to act so cool and collected, but beneath all the snark he's really a big marshmallow. I love how much he's grown since he was a Junior (both literally and figuratively XD). I love how he's so insanely shy that he can't even look female co-workers in the eyes. I love how he's a big brother around NEWS and a complete goofball around Kanjani8. I love the way he throws himself into his acting roles. I love how hard he works and the fact that he never really complains about it. I love his honesty and stubborness. I love how much he cares about his friends. I love that he's a loser and makes people listen to him play RHCP songs in his apartment at 4am. I love that he'll make 2 second calls to wish his friends and bandmates a happy birthday instead of just texting them. I love how giggly he gets when he's embarrassed. I love how incredibly awkward he is. I love how insanely talented he is. I love that he and Baru fart on each other to show their love. I love that his j-web sometimes reads as a stupid, emo haiku. I love his smile, even if it creeps me out sometimes. I love his love of rice and mayonnaise and that he's admitted to both. I love that he's such a loser. ♥
I love Aiba because he's like a big ball of giggles and sunshine. I love the way he laughs at his own joke. I love his breathy laugh, and the way his entire face lights up when he smiles. I love that he's getting laugh lines. I love that he poured his heart out in his hour on 24 hour TV and he wasn't afraid to cry. I love all the stupid scientific experiments he does. I love that he actually knows how to deal with animals and doesn't make me cringe on TSD. I love his obsession with nipples. I love that he's really quiet and shy around people he doesn't know, and I love how you can see it in action if you watch stuff from his junior days. I love his birthmark. I love that he's such an amazing friend. I love that he's so amazing with children. I love that he still seems to have that amazement with the smallest things that you usually only see in little kids. I love that he has so many pets. I love that he comes across as an idiot but in reality he's smart and really thinks about things. I love that even though he seems like he's all bubbles and sunshine at first, that he's got emo too. I love that he can make me smile just by being him. ♥
I love that they can all make my day by being awesome. I want to give them all hugs and just tell them how awesome they are and how proud of them I am (only I never will, because I am not delusional enough to think this would ever happen and that might be mildly creepy XD
